Vegas hotel deals in October?

Im on a budget and Ive narrowed the hotel choices between monte carlo and the mirage.

however, if the bellagio or venetian had a special we would love to stay there. Is October 18-22 (thursday-monday) considered low season? should i wait till closer to book a room hoping for a special? All of the specials i currently see end in september!?!?!

book now and just keep checking. you can usually cancel a hotel reservation 24-72 hours in advance. chances are, things won't get cheaper.

Wendi, have you considered a vacation rental?? The Fairfield Grand Desert is a beautiful resort where you can get a 2 bedroom rental for considerably less than most rack hotel rates. I have had really good luck with www.rentingresorts.com Give them a call and see what they can do for you. They have great cust service and a good selection of affordable deals.

I don't think there is truly ever a low season in Las Vegas, especially for weekends like the one you are considering. As others have said, you just need to keep checking.

Low season used to be the week prior to Christmas and most of the summer. But now with all the emphasis on pools, the summer seems to be pretty busy as well. Safe to say though that October is not low season.

The weather in Vegas is really nice in October. It seems to me that October is a very busy month with many conventions in town.

Book now and watch the rates to see if they go down.

if you're willing to look for inexpensive instead of fancy u could try the stratosphere or circus circus. they usually have cheaper rates than the others.

Wendy, I am having the same dilemma you are! We're going 10/5 which I didn't realize was Columbus Day weekend. To be safe, we've booked the Mandalay Bay at $300 night which is not too bad, but I want to get a deal. :) MGM announced a special a couple of days ago where I could get a room there for $220/night, but I'm holding out for a nicer place, or I'll stay put at MB. People have suggested signing up on the hotel websites so you'll get an email when their specials start. Good luck and let us know if anything comes up!

If I was doing Vegas for October, this far out- I would specific exactly location and do 4 star on Priceline.

You'll get a much better deal than that, I'm almost sure.
