Vegas Dinner Suggestions...special occasion
 

Hi all-Its been a while since I've posted due mostly to the sad fact that we havent been traveling for some time:(. HOWEVER, DH and I are heading to Vegas for our 10th anniversary and my 21st...ok 37th...birthday -at the end of March. I want to make 2 reservations for dinner. One will definately be SW steakhouse at Wynn. We were there last year and loved it. I need suggestions for the 2nd. Here's what we need:
steakhouse or sushi or asian.
GREAT atmosphere...doesnt necessarily HAVE to be romantic.
We've liked VooDoo lounge in the past as well but want something new. So far I'm considering:
Delmonicos
Shibuya
Tao.

Any suggestions? Oh-we're mid-30s but act mid 20s;)

Wynn has some of the best restaurants in Vegas..
Okada for sushi is one of the best there is and reasonable to..just don't get the house wine..$15 a glass.
Daniel Boulud's is an excellent French brasserie..
Delmonico's at the Venetian is good and have always enjoy meals there.
Bouchon but I like it for breakfast.
Alize at the Palms is supposed to be excellent..
Drinks at the Voodoo Lounge/Rio overlooking the strip.
Have a fun birthday and love that you still act like you are 21!

Steaks - How about Picasso at Bellagio, and there is also Jasmine at Bellagio - both have great views of the lake and the fountains.

Another few of our favorites as far as Steak House types go are N9ne and Mesa Grill.

Tao was good, but overpriced for us.

Delmonicos is very nice as well

Rao's and/or Mesa (both at Caesars) are very good!

Thanks everyone. One more thing though-We want to go somewhere where DH does NOT have to wear a suit to be appropriately dressed. Does that count out Picasso?

OK so I have an addendum:
We definately want something with an aweswome view-preferably central strip. Considered Circo and Eiffel Twr but both are too pricey I think. Thought about Top of the World and VooDoo but we've done voodoo a few times and, like I mentioned, we want to be more central. That said-any more suggestions? Thanks in advance! Oh-and Italin is also a possibility.

Nobu at the Hard Rock has delicious sushi. Mesa Grill is wonderful for steaks - love their menu.

Ani - I was not crazy about Tao - dh liked it but I do not think of it as "special" for your b-day or your anniversary.

I agree with Tams about Daniel Boulud's - and ask for a table with a "water" view - they have a cool water show.

I have been to Mesa in the Bahamas never in Vegas but really enjoyed it. I also like BOA and the service there was outstanding.

Wondering about Olives...the view without QUITE the bill of circo?

just went to Alize for our anniversary. It is wonderful, a very special place. Definitely romantic! The Palms is a hip place; I felt a little old going through the casino!
If that's too expensive, Emeril does a great steak at Emeril's Fish House...

If you want a view, dine at the Eiffel Tower.

If you want a view of the Bellagio fountains but the Eiffel Tower is too pricey, there is also Mon Ami Gabi which is on the ground floor of the Paris with a great view of the fountains. It also has a fabulous terrace with heaters for a guaranteed fountain view.

We just ate at Circo over the Xmas break - our first time. While it was expensive, I don't think it was any more than Rao's or B&B Ristorante etc...

The pasta was absolutely the best we have ever had outside of Italy. The Pici with Bologonese Ragu was amazing!!

We didn't go for the Steaks - but based on the Pasta next time I would!!!

Circo is wonderful...food and service top notch. Mon Ami has delicious food also. You can't go wrong with either choice. Mon Ami is definitely less expensive than Circo. Have fun!

Well I booked a res for Olives-hoping to have a great view with slightly less $$ food. I do have a while to change it though;)
