Vegas Changes

HAS anyone been to Planet Hollywood since it changed from being the Aladdin? I'm particularly curious about the old Desert Passage shopping mall. It was my wife's favourite in Vegas and we were wondering how the new 'Miracle Mile' concept worked and what has altered/improved/worsened. If Sephora has closed down she'll be distraught! Personally, I'm more concerned about the little bar that used to sell splendid microbrewery beer - Sin City, was it?

Not sure about the mall, but if they did close down the Sephora, there is one right near the Venetian on the street right before you board the moving sidewalks.

It is a fine Sephora.

We were there about a month ago and actually the Desert Passage is slowly being changed over to more Miracle Mile concept I guess kind of lots of shiny metallic pieces in the ceiling etc.

But 90% of the passage is still the Aladdin motif as of mid-July 2007.

Regarding the places in particular you are interested in. It did not look to me as many if any at all of the stores had closed or changed hands. Although I cannot remember those two particular stores Sephora or the micro-brewery. But I have a feeling they are still there.

Thanks. I didn't realise there was another Sephora further down the Strip: my wife will be happy. Still, bit of a shame it had to change, I rather liked it the way it was. We'll see for ourselves when we go for New Year.
