Vegas: Cab or Monorail from the Airport?
I'm staying at Paris next week. I have always taken a cab from the airport.
Is it cheaper to take the monorail from the airport to the hotel than a cab? I'd also like to avoid that huge cab queue outside the airport if possible. Is the monorail the way to go?
TIA.

There's been talk of extending it but the monorail does not go to the airport yet. Since I always drive myself to LAS, I don't know if there are other options than a taxi but, if so, the monorail isn't one of them.

The only way to avoid the wait is to hire a limo or have a friend pick you up. Even the rental car wait is long. Or survey the front of the taxi stand line and fine someone else going to your hotel to split the cab with.

The only way is via cab unfortunately, and taxi rates have doubled since April. But it won't be expensive as you're not driving far. We were shocked yesterday when our ride home from the airport to our house cost $60, previously in April it was about $32.
Ps, the monorail is torture, you may as well walk to your destination between the price and distance walking to the farest end of each casino to catch it. It's losing millions of dollars for a reason unfortunately. A taxi ride split by 2 people is still cheaper than the monorail traveling in between casinos and much less stress.
Here's the monorail map, as you see sometimes you have to walk or catch a different tram im between casinos.

Three years running we've tried to catch the tram to the monorail from the Mandalay Bay and have given up. You may as well walk between the MB and the NYNY. A taxi is definitely the better choice from the MB should you choose to venture there.

I was in Vegas for 4 days in January and I LOVED the monorail! Exercise is good for ya! And still faster (and now cheaper) if you're going from Hilton on far north end to NYNY.
Cab from airport. You may not have a long wait, depending on arrival time. Don't take the shuttle. You have to stop at a dozen hotels before you get there!
