Vance Hotel in Seattle?

Does anyone know anything about the Vance Hotel? I am going to be in Seattle for a few days and am thinking of staying there...

Any advice? Thanks!!

I have never stayed there but it is good location, you can walk to Pacific Place and farther down towards the market. There is a tex-mex restaurant in it but it always looks pretty empty so I'm not sure how good it is.

p.s. I hope I'm thinking of the same hotel, now I'm going to have to go and check!

I would book something that can be canceled without penalty, then I'd roll the dice with Priceline at the 4-star level.

The Vance is one of a number of hotels in what I'll call the "fringe" of downtown that were always second- or third-tier places.

Having stayed in the Vance on business in the past, I found it to be pretty good. The rooms are very small-I was fortunate to have a corner room which helped--but I found the staff very helpful, the facilities charming, and the location quite good.
But, that's for one person in a room.

For my upcoming Seattle trip I reserved at Vance, and then used hotwire (via consultation on betterbidding.com) and got a room in the Crowne Plaze for $20 per night LESS than the Vance (which I canceled).

Again, the Vance is not bad at all--but expect a small room, and try to request a corner room.
