Valley Isle Resort Condo Maui

We are thinking about staying at the Valley Isle Resort Condo in Kahana. We found the condo on the Valley Isle website and are thinking about renting from an individual owner. The units all seem nice and the resort appears to be oceanfront. Can anyone give me some feedback good or bad if they have stayed there. Thank you for any advice.

We recently returned from our honeymoon and we stayed at the Valley Isle Resort. (we also rented from an individual owner) We were very pleased with the condo. The resort itself is very well maintained with nice grounds and a nice pool. The resort is located directly on the beach so all the units are oceanfront. Hope you have a good time!

My husband and I have stayed at the Valley Isle Resort for the past four years. We will be staying there a month this winter. We like the location. But we did not rent from a private owner. We just love it there.
We recently returned from Maui and we stayed at the Valley Isle Resort and we are making plans to return next year! We went through an individual owner that we found on the internet and we had no problems. Email me if you have any more questions.

How far is the Valley Isle from the Marriott? Would you describe Kahana as "sunny and dry" or more "wet and windy" (we are going in Sept) What did you guys pay per night at the Valley Isle Resort? Are there many thing to do around the resort (ie: resaurants, shopping, activities). Thanks for your response as I am trying to decide between the Valley Isle and a place in Lahania.

The Valley Isle is about 5 miles or so from the Marriott. It was sunny and dry the whole 10 days that we were there. There are many restaurants walking distance from the resort such as, Fish and Game, Roys, Eriks Seafood, Outback and even a McDonalds! We went through an individual owner and paid $90 per night. They have a website at:
http://members.aol.com/maui4mee/maui/
We are thinking of staying here also and were wondering how the grounds & pool area are? How is the beach in front of the resort? Was there any washer/dryer facilities on site.
Thanks!

The Valley Isle Resort just renovated their pool area, it is very nice with BBQ and tables. The grounds are kept up very nicely. The beach is rather nice because it is very private as there is no public access nearby.

The condo which we stayed in had a washer and dryer right in the unit, which was very convenient.
