Valdez Lodging

I'm heading to Alaska next month and need 3 days of lodging in Valdez. Blueberry Mary's seem highly recommended, but isn't available.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

The Aspen is excellent and I really liked the Brookside B&B http://www.brooksideinnbb.com/

Budget Queen, thanks for the recommendation of Brookside. We also tried Blueberry Mary's but she did not have room.
I also tried Wild Rose by the Sea. It looks nice and she was very nice on the phone; however, she did not have room either.
astein12, we will be at Brookside on 8/25 & 8/26. Not sure when you are going but I can report back to you after Labor Day if you want.

I was just at Brookside Inn a couple of weeks ago, and it is very nice - you'll not be disappointed! I'd definitely go back! Beautiful setting just outside of town, lovely rooms.

Probably not in the same class, but L&L's (in a residential section of town) is acceptable if you can't find anything fancier; I stayed there once a few years back. It is very clean & up to date, but I don't recall the rooms as very memorable. Shared baths, just a continental breakfast (but plenty of options); of course, as compensation, it is not as pricey as some of the other ones.

Thanks for all of the info... I've been able to get a room at Blueberry Mary's, so I'm set.
