|
What??? You must be kidding. There are scores of restaurants from beer pubs to 5 star. Check any local listing.

I'm sorry...I guess we stayed in Breckenridge, the next village over.....my bad

No recommendations, but I just have to say that I'm envious. Vail is so fabulous.

I know you're looking for specifics but unfortunately I can't remember specific names. Can't recall having a bad meal anywhere in Vail. My son lived there for several years and I visited quite often. Be prepared for high prices especially the closer to the village. There are several very nice restaurants in Minturn and Edwards as well and a little more reasonable if you're up for a short drive.
if you're skiing,,,,stay safe and watch out for the yellow jackets!!!
For drinks and appetizers after a day on the slopes try the Red Lion. Good Mexican place very close to Red Lion, can't remember the name. One of my favorite spots for a "nice" meal is Lancelot. I agree with previous poster, if you have a car go to Minturn. If you have a car you can also try the Vail Cafe in Eagle Vail.

What are yellow jackets?
|
Yellow jackets= ski police. Special force initiated after the 2 ski deaths (Kennedy & Bono) whose specific task was to clamp down on high spirited skiiers. So called because they wear yellow jackets. This was an initiative a couple years ago and I don't actually know if they still exist but a favorite line of the locals was "don't get stung by a yellow jacket".
