Vacation w/Minimal Walking
 

Looking for suggestions on where to go where there is limited walking. My husband has an injured ankle where he has difficulty walking any length of time, especially on uneven ground. He refuses to use a walker or a wheelchair. Neither of really enjoy lying on a beach.

I was hoping someone might have some suggestions on some sort of sightseeing while driving. We would both prefer seeing nature and wildlife, but we have considered Myrtle Beach to see some of the different shows.

Prior to his ankle injury, we enjoyed visiting the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Lake Powell, Bryce and Zion National Parks. Thanks for any suggestions.

How about a trip to the Canadian Rockies? Lots of scenic views and a chance to see plenty of wildlife too, all from your car window. Start in Calgary, drive up to Banff, Jasper, west to Wells Grey Provincial Park, then down to Kamloops and back through Mt. Revelstoke, the Canadian Glacier National Park (Not to be confused with the Glacier National Park on the US/Canadian border), through Yoho National Park and back to Calgary through Lake Louise and Banff.

You can see a lot in Yellowstone, Teton NP or the entire state of WY, for that matter, with little walking. Drive the Beartooth Highway. Stop along the road in the Lamar Valley (YS) and watch the bison or look for wolves in early morning or late afternoon..

Canyonlands "Island in the Sky" district can be seen with very little walking and many of the arches in Arches NP. Down the road a piece, a drive through Monument valley is stunning too.

Driving along the coast of Oregon is very scenic and there are many overlooks where you can see a grand view from your car, or with a short walk.
