I have been looking at this site since someone here, recomenned it - can't remember for who, but now I AM Intrigued! Has anyone rented from them, what was the experience like?

My sister and I used VRBO to find a place near Smokey Mtn. National Park. We were very happy with it--it was just as described. Just last month I used VRBO again, but this time for a trip to Savannah. We were very happy with that place also. Both times there were plenty of pictures of the houses on the site, so we knew what to expect. And the houses looked just as they did in the pictures. I'd do it again.

I rented a studio in the Kaanapali Shores for three nights and the unit was exactly as described and pictured. No problems whatsoever. (Other than the fact that I didn't like the property that much!)

Shaggy & Postal, thanks for the input - my husband and I are looking for a place in Northern Italy - originally when we checked out this site - someone was looking for a domestic location (USA) and I was thrilled so find Euopean offerings, I was only aware of programs that allow you to swap homes, but I have not heard good things about those!

Laura: We haven't gone yet, bet we'll be renting from VRBO in Orlando in November and I did a ton of research and posted a bunch of questions on this site and other boards before commiting to this. I've only heard positive comments (and you know posters here are very straightforward with their opinions!).

I've used them twice for properties in Colorado and have been very happy. I'm currently looking at properties in Panama City Beach, FL and there are TONS of listings. I love this site.
