Utah lodging - need feedback please
 

Can anyone give feedback on the following hotels? Waited until the last minute to make reservations for early June. Want to stay in places with decent sized rooms, quiet and clean of course. Also, can anyone can suggest more of a resort-type place in any of the locations? I tried Flanigan's in Zion but they were booked. Want to keep under $150/night if possible. Thanks!

Best Western Greenwell - Moab
Austin's Chuck Wagon Motel - Torrey
Bryce View Lodge - Bryce
Canyon Ranch Motel - Springdale

I highly recommend the Desert Pearl Inn in Springdale. The rooms are large and include a balcony or small patio, sitting area, microwave & small refrigerator. The landscaping aound the pool and hot tub area is beautiful. We loved it so much we extended our stay. I hope you can get a room!

I also recommend the Desert Pearl Inn in Springdale. That is where we are staying in June. Very good reviews on www.tripadvisor.com Have never heard anything negative about this place at all.

Also your choice in Moab will be fine however you might check out the La Quinta Inn in Moab. Same general location, newer and nicer and a cheaper price than the Best Western.

Make sure you book quickly, might not be alot of choices left.

The Best Western in Springdale is great. In Moab we stayed at the Apache motel.That's were John Wayne stayed when making movies in the neighbourhood.There's a great motel just outside Torrey in the direction of the park but I forgot the name. For Bryce we stayued in a motel in Hatch.

All your motel choices are good, except for the Canyon Ranch Motel in Springdale. I have not been in their rooms, but it looks on the outside to be one of the least desirable in town. Very old property.

You might also try a couple of B&B/s I like in Springdale: The Novel House Inn or The Canyon Vista. Both are nice, but the Novel House has a much better location. Not sure if these will fit in your budget. Canyon Vista was $100/night in March and Novel House rooms are from $115 - $135/night.

I appreciate the tips; it's so hard to select based on their websites. I know the room's only to sleep but I want to be comfortable.

We stayed at Canyon Ranch Motel in Springdale by chance a few years ago. It is on the budget end, but it was very clean and very comfortable. Highlights: 1) There is a pool - great for the hot weather. 2) The spa is a nice size and has the most spectacular moonlit view at night. We enjoyed talking with friendly guests, gazing at the red canyon walls in the moonlight - totally romantic! 3) The grassy area with picnic tables provides a nice apce for private relaxing or conversing with other guests, enjoying your AM coffee, eating.
Inexpensive!

My family and I stayed at Austin's Chuck Wagon Motel in Torrey and I highly recommend it (close to Capitol Reef NP). They have a nice pool and little general store attached.

There are not many places to eat in Torrey - we had a decent, but very enjoyable and memorable, dinner on Father's Day at the Aquarius Inn in Bicknell (down the road from Torrey). There was a nice Mexican restaurant in Torrey, but it was a little too "high-end" for a family of seven.
