Using PRICELINE.COM for Vegas

Im going to Vegas in October and was wondering if i wanted to try and get the bellagio or venetian what star rating and price i should put in. On priceline, are these considered a higher star rating than mandalay and the mgm?

I am not expert but I think that only the Ventian is on Priceline (not Bellagio) and it is considered 5*.

Try www.biddingfortravel.com for more advice.

thanks for the great priceline bidding site. people are talking about the a-b link. what does that mean?

The A-B link is Amazing Bargains dot com. I think the actual website is www.amazing-bargains.com. Anyway, there is a link to Priceline through it and "BiddingforTravel" must get a little kickback if you use the A-B link to make a bid. Doesn't cost you anything to do it but helps support BiddingforTravel.

4*'s are very hard to get on Priceline for Vegas, usually beteer to book direct. You can get deals on the Venetian though.

Read the Hotels FAQ, the Las Vegas Hotel List then some of the recent posts ... if you still need help post for biding assistance ... nancysue is GREAT help in that forum.

Only 5* that has come up on Priceline in recent years is the Venetian. So, you either get it or, if the Venetian isn't releasing rooms to PL on the dates you want, you won't get it.

It's extremely straight forward, as there are 8 zones in Las Vegas and only the Strip has 5*. So, just set the maximum you want to bid for the Venetian - say $150. Then you can start low (say $80). If it says "sorry", then add another zone and a few dollars.

If they keep saying sorry, then your last bid should be $150 for 5* in all the LV zones.

Still "sorry", then come back in 24 hours and try again, perhaps with a higher maximum budget than your $150.

Those numbers are just examples. You can have a lower or higher maximum budget. My point is that you can start low and add at least 7 more bids to get up to your maximum.
