Hi, Saw your poor lonely message and thought I would try to give you some help. Your question is very broad and its hard to know specifically what you want help with. I think you may need help with low airfare. So try a few of these. www.discountair.com--has 144 ticket consolidators around the world. Go in and click on the country you are departing from. Find a ticket consolidators, there are usually several. E mail them and start getting some quotes on prices. I read that Europeans can get special fares not available to Americans that allow you to hop from city to city cheaper than we can. If you want to ask me for help on what to see and do in L.A. e mail me direct as I live an hour away from L.A. and not too far from Disneyland, etc. As far as the other cities I don't know too much. There are very good websites on New York tho that I can give you.
You might trying going into the Europe forum. Many Americans in there that might see your distress call! Post questions about each city separately and I think you will get more help! |
I would love to help you on advice in the USA. Are you looking for information on sites to see? Also, I am planning to visit Italy (Venice) in the spring. I will be traveling alone, without my husband for two weeks, then he will join me in Venice for another 10 days traveling south into Rome. Can you offer me any advice on safe and affordable places to stay for a single female in venice, or any other information? Thank you, Kelli

You could easily spend the entire time in California, which is a large area to cover. Must sees include: South of LA: San Diego area with the Zoo, Animal Park, and Coronado Island, home of the famous Hotel Del Coronado; LA area, Beverly Hills, studio tours, shopping, Getty Museum, La Brea Tar Pits, Universal Studios, Disneyland (but only if you have NOT been to Wal Disney World); moving north: Santa Barbara, drive north on Route 1 (check conditions after El Nino), stop at San Simeon for Hearst Castle, then Carmel/Monterey, San Francisco, Napa Valley, Yosemite National Park, Sequoia National Park, Joshua Tree. Good luck, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Before returning from the East Caost, many interesting places to visit are within a few hours of NYC. If you have an opportunity to tour our nations capitol Washington D.C. offers many insights to America. A trip up to Cape Cod, Martha's Vinyard, or Nantucket all in Massachusetts are just 200 miles from NYC and show a different more relaxed lifestyle then the big cities. You may e-mail me directly for more info on NYC or the New England states, I have lived in three of them.
