Upper Keys dive resort or condos
Has anyone stayed at or seen any of the following: Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort in Key Largo, Ocean Point condos in Tavernier, and Sand Pebbles condos in Islamorada? I know they are very different - but would like to know more than what you can tell from their web sites. For instance, does Amy Slate's seem old? Does it seem crammed in between its neighbors? As for the condos, what are and their surroundings like? We (parents + 2 teenagers) are torn between a place with easy diving access and a nicer, quieter condo. Thanks.

I have never stayed or dived at Amy Slates but I have walked through it, seems like a real nice place. I always dive with Its a Dive at the Marriott, but I do plan on trying A.S. soon. Yes it is close to its neighbors. Amy Slates always gets high reader ratings in Scuba Diving Magazine.

The Moorings in Islamaroda is nice as is Cheeca Lodge where they have activities for kids.

i have dove w/, but not stayed at amy slates.....the property and buildings seem very nice. i guess i would classify the area as being "tight"...as in the resort is not very isolated from US1, the parking lot etc....

Many thanks for the responses. They were helpful - I think we will stay at Ocean Point and maybe dive with Amy Slate.

I have stayed at Ocean Point and the condos are very nice. They have a small beach, nice pool and marina. Also, a continental breakfast was included.
