PS if you like gardens I agree with recommendation of Conservancy Garden, it's really lovely.

Elizabeth, museum mile, central park, museum of natural history, St. John the devine cathedral, the dakotas. That is just off the top of my head.
Maybe you need to visit again. |
Elizabeth,
Guggenheim, Museo El Barrio, Frick, Neue Galerie all are unique and quite the New York experience. You can look them up on wikipedia and find out how they are not your standard gallery. Also you want to only walk by lincoln center and check out the Chagals hanging. Now if that is not a great art moment for you maybe its a movie moment. It has been in a few. I was always curious at the lack of American tourists on the upper and west sides. Tons of Europeans/Japanese tourists go to this area but people from the us walk around broadway and china town. I don't get it. |
The suggestion I visit again will not help me, as I live in Manhattan. The suggestions of the various museums on the Upper East and Upper West sides may or may not be helpful to the original poster, who has more or less said that his companion does not like museums.
In general, I don't actually like being reproached on a forum (or in person for that matter). My own preference is to stick ot the sharing of information. |
Well, I'm still on my Trip Report "kick".
Johnnyman7 asked for help several times for an October trip. Has anybody seen a trip report yet? Or is it too soon? |
I'd like to know how it was, too, and what they ended up liking or hating.
