I think elzash is talking about when you go somewhere on vacation and they don't want to leave the hotel; they want to stay and watch tv. I don't think he's talking about an hour a day or whatever.

I second (or third) the suggestion to go to Yellowstone. Cabins in the park mostly lack tv from what I've seen, and our cabin in East Yellowstone lacked a tv too. The kids would go outside and throw the football, play with other kids, go for walks, read, etc. It's great!
