Unusual Rose Parade question
we will be driving to the Rose Parade from the West Hollywood area. My grandstand tickets are in approximately the 1800 block of Colorado, towards the end of the parade. I want to park in a reserved spot and I'm willing to pay $50 for the parking spot if necessary. The unusual part is since the Mrs. and I are up in our years we would like to be able to go back to the parking spot after the parade and take a nap :-) we are avid walkers so parking a mile or two away wouldn't be a problem, but we need someplace that is quiet, probably covered parking..

Have you considered booking an Uber ride, or something similar, to & from and napping in privacy back in W. Hollywood? Maybe just me, but I don't think I could sleep or even feel safe trying in what is essentially a public place near a crowded event.

Uber is good possibility if available. When we went we just waited about half an hour and drove back to motel. That let a lot of the crowd clear out.
The parade is amazing. We were surprised how much we could smell the flowers. An old guy sitting in front of us kept saying how much better the parade was on TV. We disagreed wholeheartedly. Every year since when we watch it DH can’t resist repeating that. |
I would still like a response to my question regarding the best parking in the Pasadena area. As an amendment however I would also like to know what the consideration is of the Goldline going in to the Pasadena area from Los Angeles

Google it!!!

I'd try the parking garage at the old Bullocks (now Nacys) on S. Lake.

Your seats are near the far end of the parade route, the parade won't pass until after 9am. So you could plan to arrive at 8:15am after most of the traffic to the parade has subsided. There are lots of homes in the neighborhood that offer paid parking in the yard.
For reserved parking, if still available, the Sierra Madre Blvd lot noted here is the closest to your seats and an easy exit from the freeway: http://www.easyparkingservice.com/ro...locations.html The "Catalina" parking is also about a half mile from your seats but would be harder to get to, I'd think. |
