Unrelated To Travel, Buddy the Dog, Sox the Cat?

This isn't travel related but I'm in a quandry. Someone in the Clinton White House sent my husband a beautifully framed and pawtographed photograph of the first dog and cat, Buddy and Sox to his restaurant office. It is about 2 1/2 feet wide by 2 1/2 tall.

My husband has so much memorabilia from being in the restaurant business, it isn't something I'd like to keep and neither would he.

Any suggestions? I don't want to throw it away. Humaine Society maybe? Would they want this?

E-bay. My friend just got me $120 plus shipping for a Campbell's soup kids dress from the 1960's. It was made of PAPER. One person's junk is another's collectibles. I'm just on the selling end, always.

Thank you all for your replies. It looks like they are only getting a couple of bucks for these. Ebay does sound like the deal and I could give the money to the humane society.

Maybe Monica.......bad gyppie bad.....sorry couldn't help myself. I'd offer it to Humane Society or local vets.....or a local auction fundraiser.

Yikes, Scarlett! Buddy and Sox are not part of the Clinton Library. The last I heard, Sox was still alive and happily living with Bettie Curry

There was an article in the NYTimes with a photo of the cat and dog behind glass, in the Library , called a Tribute to Buddy and Sox. We automatically thought they were 'stuffed' but then they could be statues.

If you ever happen to take the White House tour, there is a photograph display of all the presidents and their pets. The kids loved it.

Hi GoTravel, I would donate it to the museum part of Clinton's library. We've visited several Presidential libraries(the museums only) and they have lots of that type of memorabilia. I'm sure they would welcome it.

Scarlett - I know the exact picture and NYT article you refer to, but I'm 99% certain that is merely a tribute and not the real thing. I tried to call the library a few minutes ago and they only have a recorded message so I couldn't ask. I'll get there as soon as I can and check it out in person.
