Universal Studio Tour-California
Some of my family will be going to Universal for one day. Any tips about rides, order in which to do them, roughness (we have a senior and disabled person as part of the party, as well as two able bodied people), would be helpful. Do they have anything like a FastPass? Discounts?
Thanks for your help in advance! Annie |
If you can visit on a weekday, it will be less crowded. There are several "shows" that a disabled person can sit and watch while the rest of the family heads for the thrill rides. Just plan to meet back at a certain point & pre-arranged time. For instance, you can leave them at the Lucille Ball museum for a half hour while you're off to the Mummy ride.
Local newspapers print Univ Tour coupons about every 3 weeks, so if you know someone in the L.A. area they can watch for them and clip them for you. Also check out wildvacationsca.com as they usually have some discounts offered. |
I've not been in three years, but if they still have the Back to the Future ride, the senior and disabled probably won't enjoy it. Though not really rough, there are elements of Backdraft, Jurassic Park, and E.T. that might be a little dicey too.
I don't remember lines being long for the back lot tour, so maybe do more popular rides first. I believe you ordinarily have to pay extra for a pass to get you to the front of lines, but there may be dispensation for the disabled and those accompanying him/her. |
If your budget can take it, I would go for the "front of the line pass" Worth every penny not to have to stand in all the lines.

should mention the front of line pass is available only online if Im not mistaken. Go to their web sight to check

Our whole group first went on a tram tour (downstairs) and then we split. The "able bodied" hit the rides, the rest went to shows, some of them informative by the way.
