Thanks, JBX. Just by a MIRACLE got a flight from Genoa that leaves at a decent hour of 11:55 AM and has only one stop, getting into SFO at 7 PM. I really had to work it! Good suggestions for Milan and Pisa, but Genoa worked out after all. Thanks again for all the help.
