Union Station to Staples Center?
 

I am staying near Union Station looking to use public transportation to get to the Staples Center. If I use the Metro what line and stop would the Staples Center be from the Union Square stop?

Follow the signs in Union Station to the Red Line subway station. Take the Red line west to 7th St/Metro Station. Follow the signs to the Blue Line train platform. Take the Blue Line south to the Pico Street Station. When you get off the train and look in the direction the train is traveling, Staples Center is on your right, about a 150 yard walk.

It's a short trip - 3 or 4 stops on the Red Line and the first stop on the Blue Line.
