Ultimate Kauai
 

I have read many posts regarding the "Ultimate Kauai Guidebook", I have leafed through this book, and found it to be interesting, however, this book was published in 1998. With the way that conditions change so often in Hawaii, how can this guide be up-to-date? <BR>Fodors updates their guide books every year.

I have the third edition wherein it instructs you to go to www.wizardpub.com for updates. I found these updates as entertaining as their book. There is also an email address for other inquiries.

Hello Joy, the Ultimate guidebook to Kauai was our bible when we went to Kauai last year....Ultimate Big Island too.....maybe one or 2 restaurants were not updated,,, but no big deal. Like Suzie said their site splains it! <BR>Judy ;-)

Hi Joy - <BR> <BR>You might also check out Kauai Underground Guide by Lenore Horowitz, published annually with updates at her website, which is www.explorekauai.com. This is an equally useful book, although it doesn't provide info on lodging - mostly restaurants and activities, but helpful, just the same.

Thanks to you who replied to my question. I really appreciate the information. We have been to Kauai twice, stayed at Gloria's - absolutely wonderful. And,in a different location - The Kauai Marriott- we liked it very much. But, this trip we want to try a condo, this search is not as easy, and so, I am trying to read as much as possible on the condos in Kauai. We have it narrowed down to 2 - The Kiahuna Plantation, also The Aston Kauai Beach Villas. <BR>I have gone through the archives and read many favorable comments, but, my probing nature wants to know more. <BR>Any new information would be very helpful to me. <BR>I definetly know which sights to see. <BR>Thanks to all who have replied.
