Uber from Baton Rouge to N.O. Airport

Has anyone taken an UBER ride from Baton Rouge to New Orleans Airport? We will need to leave B.R. around 8:00am next month and are wondering if an UBER ride is a good option. We really don't want to pay for 11 days of parking our car near the airport.

Ooops! I meant to say that we need to leave B.R. by 6:00AM

You can go to Uber.com and get a fair estimator – looking at the estimator it looks like it's somewhere between $100-$120. That's assuming there's no surge at that time.

Are there hotels near NO that will let you stay a night and get free or very cheap parking during your trip? I know in Boston and other cities there are. Since you have to leave that early, a night in the hotel prior to trip might be nice; and I would guess you could find a sleep and park option for the $250 or so Uber RT would cost - especially since these hotels are often in outlying less expensive areas.

Thank you for your suggestions. I didn't realize that UBER would be so expensive! Will either do a "Stay and Go" hotel package or use a parking lot near airport.

Über isn't often cheap. It is convenient and that is what you pay for. And if there is a surge situation it can be very expensive.

In this case it's The distance beyoteen the 2 cities, not a surge. Here inSF it's easily ½ the price of a cab.

You do realize that is 75 miles away, I'm sure. So you are expecting someone to drive 150 miles and take about 2.5-3 hrs of their time for what? $50 or something? Of which at least $10-$15 would be gas costs.

Could you rent a car and drop at a New Orleans airport?

denisea--that's an interesting idea. Then, eleven or twelve days later, we'd have to rent another one to get back to Baton Rouge....
