uber availability in Charleston
 

Traveling, I hope to Charleston soon. Is Uber available from the airport? Will I be able to use it easily around town? Same question for Lyft? Are taxis a better option, that is, more easily available? Thanks.

Both Uber and Lyft are available from the airport. another option would be the shuttle from the airport to the visitor center downtown.

I have always found uber to be at a premium price in Charleston.

Can't say about Uber but Charleston is an eminently walkable city. One of its great charms.

Yes, you certainly could use Uber around town. I would visit the Visitor Center to get a lay of the land and a map; they are always very helpful and knowledgeable and will be able to help you with planning or ideas while in Charleston.
