I can say from experience, especially later at night, that I wish Uber had been IN existence when we were stuck in SFO and looking for a cab, ANY cab to get us back to the hotel. We even trooped over to Market Street and still had a problem. And no, Muni was not an option at that hour or I would have used it.

The NY subway and bus system run 24/7 including Yom Kippur, Ramadan, Diwlai, and Christmas.

And in some neighborhoods it is easier to get a cab at 3 AM then 9 AM.

Please, we do not need to know how much better things are in New York when we are IN San Francisco and looking for a cab or anything else.
