U.S. Family Beaches

Hello,
There are some best family beaches in US. These are the followings:
1. Coast Guard Beach - Eastham, Massachusetts
2. Coopers Beach - Southampton, New York
3. Hanalei Bay Beach - Kauai, Hawaii
4. Kiawah Beachwalker Park - Kiawah Island, South Carolina
5. Santa Cruz Beach - Santa Cruz, California
6. Siesta Beach - Siesta Key, Florida
7. Coronado Central Beach - Coronado, California
8. Crane Beach - Ipswich, Massachusetts
9. Stinson Beach - Stinson Beach, California
10. Lifeguard Beach - Ocracoke Island, North Carolina
Thanks.

Crane Beach is beautiful, but the water is way too cold to go in for anyone who was not raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts.

In your opinion, brightsun!

WHAT is with this "best _______"?

I have to agree with SusieQQ

Please define "family." Is this a beach where there's lots of junk food readily available? Designer t-shirt shops? There are video arcades nearby? There are a bunch of evangelicals handing out religious information? Every other "family" is exactly the same color as your own? What?

There are some spammers on the forum too.

Hanalei? A beach that is too rough for children to swim in 6 months a year is not a likely candidate for a best family beach.

Well, you did get Coronado - but you're really missing about 200 miles of great coastline starting at Santa Barbara and extending down to the the south end of San Diego. Yes, there are a couple nude beaches, and some surfer dominated beaches - but plenty of other nice spots for families.

"In your opinion, brightsun!"

Not necessarily. Brightsun seems to post "best" lists he/she finds elsewhere, like this beach one
http://travel.nationalgeographic.com...amily-beaches/

Now if there were some questions along with these postings, like "I saw these lists and am considering going to some of the places, what do you think" , then it might be useful.

brightsun posted some other 'best lists' on a few of the forums a month or so ago - and they were nuked. (apparently just copied lists from somewhere). Looks like s/he's at it again.
