Typing the british pound
 
I know I have seen directions on this website as to how to type the british pound. I have an apple computer. Can someone remid me the combination of buttons to get the pound sign?? thanks

On your Mac you should have an icon (American flag?)on the very top toward the right indicating the character set you are using. Click on the icon and you will be able to open the character palette, one of which is monetary symbols. Click on the pound sing and then on insert.

On a Mac, press the option key while typing a 3 for the British pound sign.

option + 3 = £
option + 4 = ¢
option + shift + 2 = €

(I also have the keyboard viewer michael describes -- but for typing currency signs, the Option+3 is easier/quicker.)
