Typhoon Lagoon or Wet n Wild
Hi,
We are making our 7th trip to Orlando this coming September, we live in the UK.
We have never been to either Typhoon Lagoon or Wet N Wild, which one is best and more suitable for a 3 year old infant?
Is shelter available at either park, and is there also a beach?

Typhoon Lagoon has a beach, but the wave pool is quite rough for a 3-year old. It is tropical and lush with lots of shade. It has a kiddie section with a teeny, tiny innertube ride that my 2-year old master with a lot of coaxing and coaching. We had big fun there.

Haven't been to Wet and Wild, but according to the Unofficial Guide to Disneyworld (which I recommend) it is not as nice because it has too much concrete and not enough character.

Have fun!

Went to Typhoon Lagoon last summer. Lots of shade, but wave pool is quite rough for 3-year old child. Lush with lots of shade and a beach area. Kiddie area with teeniest inner tube ride you ever saw; our 2-year old rode it. Big fun.

Never been to Wet and Wild, but I understand it is mostly concrete and not as nice, according to the Unofficial Guide to Disneyworld.

Have fun!

Geez, sorry about the double post. Fodor's gremlins played tricks on me again. At least I was consistent, though.

Johnny- I have been to both parks several times. Typhoon Lagoon is more scenic and has lots of trees and a better atmosphere than Wet-n-Wild. Wet-n-wild does have a lot of various rides for both adults and children but it is not as scenic. Shelter in terms of a awning is available at WW but no "sandy" beach. I would suggest Typhoon Lagoon with such a small child.
