Tybee Island/Savannah/Atlanta

Needs some ideas. Family of 4 (all 21+) vacationing in a beach house on Tybee Island. Planning on enjoying the relaxing beach environment during most days, but we also want to spend a good amount of time enjoying Savannah. We need ideas for eating and enjoying Savannah. Will take all suggestions. Also, at the end of our stay in Tybee, we are going to Atlanta for a couple of days. Seeing the Braves play, but would like some other ideas for Atlanta.

Eating in Savannah

Mrs Wilkes Dining Room – a must for lunch. Long lines but definitely worth the wait.

Olde Pink House – it’s pink! Plus great southern food.

Huey’s – one word, beignets, beignets, beignets... snowy pillows of fried heaven.

Oh and for Atlanta, visit the Aquarium. I'm usually NOT a fan of these, but I was really impressed with the Georgia Aquarium. They have an enormous tank (worlds largest) with 4 huge whale sharks.

Thanks, I have looked at some of the forums, but will revisit. Didn't know if there might be some new ideas? Thanks.

when you go to the Braves game get there early and have dinner/lunch at the Bull Pen--its a BBQ place, but its like 50 ft from the ball park, on the home plate end of the stadium. They let you park there for the whole game, making your egress lots easier

If it rains and you want to go shopping go to Hilton Head. Its an hour a way, but a good place to eat, shop, golf.

I guess I also need some advice for a hotel in Atlanta. Going to the Braves game, but not sure what else. There for 2 days and nights.
