Tybee Island / Admiral's Inn or Hotel Tybee

Planning a trip to Tybee Island with 10 year old granddaughter. Looking for place close to beach, $200 or less. It must have a pool and parking. I am looking at Admiral's Inn or Hotel Tybee but am open to other suggestions. I appreciate any help from someone who has been there - hard to know for sure from what you read!

I would read recent reviews.
Tybee really doesn't have any nice hotels. I would stay at a nice hotel in Savannah and drive out to Tybee or rent a cottage on Tybee.

That is good advice, I would stay in Savannah as well. The drive is only 30 minutes to Tybee. Personally though I would choose Jekyll Island over Tybee everytime. Jekyll is 1.5 hours south of Savannah and has nice hotel options in every price range.

I am following your Advice! Now looking at Jekyll Island. Looking at Days Inn or Holiday Inn .... want freshwater pool and am having a hard time getting that information. Lines to hotels have been busy and doesn't say on their website. Do you know?

I'm not sure in regards to those properties but you are making the right choice though choosing Jekyll over Tybee.
