Tweeter Center drop off/pick up

I live in the area, but I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for dropping off, but more importantly, picking up, a group of teenagers at the Tweeter Center. They are old enough that I would trust them to walk somewhere for the pick up to avoid the traffic inside the property. We went to a concert earlier this year and parked. The concert ended at 11:00, we didn't get to our car until 11:25 and we didn't get out of the parking lot until midnight, and there were still a lot of cars stuck in there when we got out. I'd love to avoid that this time.

Have them walk out of the Tweeter Center parking lot and someplace down 140 ( I believe the RT is). May have to deal with traffic as there is no easy place. Good luck with it.

Have you called the Tweeter Ctr to see if they offer any advice on safe, well lit meeting spots?

Yrs ago when my kids went, there were enough of them to make chipping in for a driver worth it -
the drivers had a certain area where they waited, and then we parents weren't dealing with the waiting or any traffic - just a thought - don't know how far away you are -

Also, if you look on the Tweeter site, they do list area accomodations - are any of those close enough - (or the Mansfield rail is a few miles away) that they can take a taxi to one of those spots and meet you there, say 30 min post concert?

There is also premium parking packages for every event, with quick exit, but then you'd be sitting in your car for hours.....

We are unfortunate experts on this. Unfortunately, traffic/congestion is inevitable. The website has pick-up info that actually works as well as anything we have found.

Basics are there is a flagpole outside entrance that is designated pick-up meeting area. There is a parent pick-up lot that you will be directed to upon entry near end of concert. You park in that area for free and walk to flagpole and meet your reluctant teenagers who would prefer Mom or Dad not be picking them up and walk to your car. Then you sit in traffic waiting to exit.

The creator of the traffic is not so much the parking lot as the roads leading to/from Tweeter Center - they just can't accomodate that amount of traffic leaving at one time.

A modification we have made to the meet at the flagpole game is to use cell phones to direct them to your car. That has also worked, but does not avoid traffic.

Only good thing I can say is that you get to eavesdrop on their conversations as you play driver. Also, our dtr is now old enough to drive herself and friends to concert so we get to worry about them driving home late at night - so it could be worse.
