Tween Waters Inn Captiva

Has anyone stayed in one of the cottages that face the beach at Tween Waters? If so I'd love to hear your opinion(s).

thanks!

Hi Pam,
We stayed there about 7 years ago and loved it. The cottages were basic, not at all luxurious, but clean and comfortable. We felt as if we were living on the beach as we could move easily between the cottage and the water, back and forth, all day. It was a very family-friendly place and we met nice people with young kids. Hope it hasn't undergone too many changes since we were there~

Skie:

thanks so much. We aren't looking for luxury and your description sounds perfect. Can't wait!

I stayed in one of these about 3 years ago but it was a pet cottage so it was very basic. We took our beloved and very old golden with us. He loved the beach and this stay was for him. He died a week later.

We love this resort and we still enjoy taking people to the NasCRAB races . You just have to go and get in the spirit.

The pastries at the Sunday Brunch are enough to make a South Beach Dieter go off the wagon.

It is a charming throwback to another time, not a chic or trendy bone in it's makeup.

My parents honetmooned at this resort (same cottages, different name) 50 years ago. My husband and I visited there a few years ago and it is still exactly as she described from her memories. There is something to be said about a place that is 'lost in time'.
