Tusayan to Page

We are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon area for 7 days. I have one day dedicated to sight seeing the Grand Canyon South Rim. We were just going to use the free shuttle. The next morning we plan to drive to Page. Is there a scenic route to take from Tusayan to Page? I thought there may be a route to Page that we could see a different area of the Grand Canyon en route. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From Tusayan, drive to Cameron (take a minute to the see the gorge of the Little Colorado River), turn north and take 89 to Page. If you want to see the GC at the Navajo Bridge, you do not take the turnoff, but go straight ahead a few miles and then backtrack to follow 89 into Page. Shortly after the turnoff, you will rise to a high spot with an enormous panoramic view north to the Vermilion Cliff. The GC at that point is almost hidden. From Page, drive a couple miles to Glen Canyon Dam. The view downstream into the GC is really something.
