Turning 30 in March. What shall I do?

Hello everyone,

I am turning 30 next month, March 16th to be exact. Wife asked what I wanted to do for my birthday and I said nothing. But after thinking it over for a few days it might be a good excuse to drive somewhere not too far for a day or two. March 19,20

I've done my share of partying so that is not what we are really focused on. We live in the San Jose area

I appreciate any suggestions and tips. Thanks in advance!

Yosemite might be nice. Waterfalls should be spilling well.

You need to give us a few more clues about your interests .... Being in nature, city fun, wine, spas, historic, adventure, romantic getaway?

I am interested in Hiking, Craft beers, History and a little adventure, nothing too intense as I have my partner with me :)

Wife doesn't drink, so the wine thing will not be a great idea.

initially we were thinking of driving up to Mendocino county, but I am not sure what there is to do there.

Currently we are looking at Big Sur. I have been there 1 time but never spent the night. I was there last July it was beautiful.

Nothing. It happens to the best of us.

As long as there isn't a winter storm (same applies to Big Sur) Mendocino would be a fabulous destination. Good restaurants, wonderful scenery, great hiking in several State parks, and as for craft brewing . . . http://winecountrybeer.com/winecount...Mendocino.html
