Turning 30 and need to get away!
 

I am turning 30 in July and wanted to plan a quick, 3 day adventure with my boyfriend surrounding the big birthday. Any ideas for a great getaway that isn't too much $, but would be memorable and relaxing. We are up for any cities, beaches or mountains. What would you suggest? Thanks!

We went to NOLA for my husband's 30th -- it was hot as heck, but you can get great deals because of it, eat wonderful food, and hear terrific music. Have fun!

From where?

We are either leaving from Detroit or Chicago. Just depends on flights.

Well Vegas is a must do if you have never.

If that is not your speed, how about:

A ski area outside of Denver: Aspen, Vail, etc.

Toronto: great city for the weekend. Driveable from Detroit if you wish. Plus is exchange rate.

South Beach: sure it will be hot but maybe hot is good at that age!
