When I was little, we used to spend every Thanksgiving at Natural Bridge. Beautiful old hotel there that does (or used to do) a great Thanksgiving Buffett.

The Williamsburg area is super around Thanksgiving. Jamestown Settlement has a weekend long special program called "Food and Feasts" showing how cooking and preserving was done 17th century style. They butcher whole hogs and make various dishes and preserved foods from Everything....I know it's gross but even using pig bladders (well cleaned of course) to seal the tops of jars of pickled vegetables. I was a volunteer re-enactor and a couple of F&Fs and know first hand about pig bladders. I think Colonial Williamsburg also has special events that weekend.
