Tucson hotel near Convention Center
I have a group of adults and 5th-7th graders (18 total) that are attending a weekend event at the Convention Center in May. We won't have a car and are on a budget. We've narrowed our choices to:
Radisson (most expensive, but attached to CC; Clarion Santa Rita (expens...but close) Pueblo Inn InnSuites @ 6th & Granada (old Ramada? by far the cheapest, but farthest away - how safe is the walk to the CC?) Any comments on the above, or any other suggestions? Thanks!! |
I highley suggest NOT walking around downtown at night!

Thanks azgirl. We definitely won't allow the kids to walk to and fro without an adult, and we'll probably be in decent size groups walking outside anyway. Any thoughts on the hotels listed??

I wish I could tell you. Honestly, I never really go into downtown anymore. Mostly Goverment buildings and they close down at 5:00. Try tripadvisor.com you can get comments by people who have stayed in these hotels.

of the ones you mentioned the Radisson and the Clarion are nice. As you said, the Radisson is most convenient to the TCC. The Clarion is a few blocks away. Downtown Tucson has a long way to go but there is the start of some revitalization. Two favorite restaurants - The Barrio and Cafe Poca Cosa are downtown and I am not afraid to walk around Tucson, with my husband, at night. I hope you all have fun.
