He normally replies to any Tucson questions. His blog is fantastic. He covers everything there is to see as well as some restaurant recommendations. Don't come to Tucson without reading it!!!!

We have eaten at many places in Tucson but here is our favorite:

JBar at the Westin La Paloma in the foothills.

It is the casual section of the famous Janos restaurant (many say, Tucson's best gourmet restaurant). The J Bar features southwestern cuisine - like barbecued pork, flank steak, trout, Mexican-style chicken - but prepared in a highly sophisticated way. And the price level is very reasonable.

The Gold Room (in Westward Look Resort, foothills) and the Wildflower (Casa Adobes Shopping Plaza, foothills) are also recommendable but more fine dining.

The Mosaic Cafe off Silverbell and Grant has good Mexican food (especially the grilled shrimp). Daisy Mae's Steakhouse (W. Anklam, near Pima CC West) has decent steaks.

If you want great authentic Mexican food at even better prices drive down to Green Valley to Manuels. Just excellent and the margueritas are the best at very very good prices.

For Thai food try Bangkok Cafe on Speedway and Tucson streets. There is not much atmosphere, but the food is excellent and very reasonable. Korean food and sushi are good at Sushi Garden which is popular with U of A students. Also give a second vote to Manuels in Green Valley for great Mexican food at reasonable prices. Also LaPacita (spelling?) right off the second exit (from Tucson) for GV is good if the wait at Manuels is too long. There is a small, family run, great Greek restaurant by the Spice Shop on the frontage road south of GV on the way to Tubac. Tubac is fun for art and tourist shopping, but the food is pricey there as it is a tourist draw. Enjoy!
