Looking for B&B or suite-type accommodations for family of four, including two teens...want two-bedroom or suite with sleeper sofa. Any recommendations?

If you are willing to be 20-30 minutes south of downtown Tucson, you can look into my favorite place - Mi Gatita B&B in Sahuarita. The website is tucsonbirdinginn.com We always stay in the two bedroom unit with a bathroom between the two rooms. VERY comfy and the hosts are absolutely wonderful.

We have stayed at a wonderful place in Tucson called Shadow Mountain Ranch. If you just do a search on "Shadow Mountain Ranch Tucson" you'll find several sites with information. It is very reasonably priced and a beautiful location with a pool and hottub. We highly recommend it.

What part of town do you want to be in? On the East side there are a couple of suite hotels - the Radisson and Courtyard Marriot.

FYI - I got a response from Shadow Mountain that said that they had closed the B&B. Has anyone had any experience with, or heard anything about, Hacienda del Desierto?

I don't know anyone who has stayed there, but I looked at the website and it looks fabulous. I live very close to where it's located and that area of town is quiet and pretty. It's very close to Saguaro National Monument East. The only problem is that it is not very close to anything else. Depending on what you plan on doing that may be fine. It takes me about 30 minutes to drive to central Tucson from my house because Tucson doesn't have very good quick routes thru town. Anything you plan on doing on the East side of Tucson or side trips to Eastern locals (like Bisbee or Tombstone) is fine. But if you plan on going North, Central or West just be prepared for at least a 30 minute commute.

In the past, I've stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Williams Center. Getting a king suite there will get you a separate bedromm and a sleeper sofa in the other room - usually there's a fridge and microwave as well.
