TTT Etiquette

Is it appropriate to TTT (take to top) a buried thread of your own to make it more visible (and get more feedback)? Or is it better etiquette to just repost? Perhaps niether? I've seen both done. Just curious - I have a Hilton Head dining post I'd to get more responses on, and I've wondered about this before, so thought I'd request some feedback on proper posting etiquette :-)

Please don't repost; always ttt!

I agree with bardo.

Just add a reply. BTW, TTT stands for "to the top"

Of course, if you aren't getting responses you might want to rethink your message title. Maybe it is to vague. In that case, then repost.

If you think your original post is well worded (and the headline is clear including the destination) then ttt. If, on the other hand you reread it and think maybe you weren't clear or didn't have the destination or other pertinent info in the headline, repost. Do NOT repost the same thing. That's my thought :)

I love it when people respond to their own posts like this:

"Awww, come on youze guys! You tellin' me ain't no one never been to the Kalamazoo Motel Super 7?!?!?! I need to know if they have coin operated vibrating beds. You better answer me now! How do I get a free upgrade from dumpster view to interstate view?"

Anyway, a simple "TTT" response is effective.
