TS Restaurants in Maui
Are the TS Restaurants in Maui (Duke's, Kimo's, Hula Grill and Lelani's) all very similar? Are the menu selections pretty much the same or is there a difference in the food? Just wondering if each is worth a visit or if we should just pick one.

All the menus are easy to find on their website. I do love Hula Grill's crab/mac wontons - not sure if the other properties offer them. I know Keoki's in Kauai does not.

Hula Grill and Leilani's are in great spots on the beach...the food is good but not great, imho.
|
I recently ate at Dukes and Hula Grill. The food was really great at both. Also try the TS Barefoot Bar next to Hula Grill. It has great lunches at much lower prices than the full TS restaurants. For very creative and delicious asian food, I would recommend Star Noodle --- it's a new restaurant in town.

If you want to escape the high prices, get the early dinner chefs tasting special at Hula Grill for $25. It's excellent!
IMO, the food at Leilanis is not as good as the other TS restaurants. |
Thanks so much. I had looked at the menu quite some time ago and thought some of the dishes sounded alike which is why I asked. We are staying at Honua Kai so I know we will eat at Duke's. Sounds like we should give Hula Grill a try for lunch also.

The more fun and less expensive place for lunch is the section of Hula Grill called the Barefoot Bar. Hula Grill (the main restaurant section) would be a good choice for dinner. All the TS restaurants in Maui have a different menu.

I like the Barefoot Bar at Hula Grill for dinner, too. Food is good, not great, ambiance is great, and last time I was there, they had a live band. (and the wait was ONLY an hour!)

For a shorter wait, get there before 5:30.

Yikes, thanks for the heads up on the wait! We'll be sure to get there early.
