Truck camper locations?

The company we are renting a truck camper from said you can pretty much pull off the road (and camp) anywhere unless it says otherwise. Does anyone know if this is the case? Tks, bc

Where are you talking about? What states/areas? Do you mean by the side of a main highway? I can't imagine you could do this in a town or on anyone;s residential property.

We'll be driving around Alaska's interior region for a few weeks. I figured there may be some remote areas where we can pull off out of sight as I don't care crowds too much. Thats what I plan on doing, whether that is achievable, I'll find out next month. -bc

I was up there a couple of years ago, and yeah, it was normal to see a truck/camper or an RV pulled off the road (safely or course) and parked for the nite. They were usually parked in a pull out or into a gravel area off the main road. I also noticed you would see them in pairs or in threes, as if one pulled off and another would pull off into the same area. (perhaps they were travelling together).

There are plenty of campgrounds with the Alaska State parks nicely set up. but yes people do pull off the roads and "camp". Walmart is loaded with overnighters.
