Hi all.. I am planning a three night trip to LV in early January. I am considering the Tropicana for my stay. I have heard good and bad word of mouth about this hotel. Some say it is pretty shabby and others say that while it is not the newest or nicest, it is just fine if the price is right. Which is closer to the truth? Is it worth the money to upgrade to the Tower rooms? Thanks in advance.

Okay place if you are in the Tower. Do not stay in the Garden Rooms.

Tropicana = Good Orange Juice &amp; Bad Hotel.

If you can get a cheap room in the paradise tower,go for it.<BR><BR>Where else can you play tic-tac-toe against a chicken?

If you're just looking for someplace to sleep there is nothing wrong w/the Trop. If you want more than that, look elsewhere. It also has a great location &amp; if Folies Bergiere (SP?) is still there, see it.
