TROLLEY TOUR FROM AMTRAK STATION?
How/where do I get to the Trolley Tour from the 30th St. Train station? Is it necessary to take a taxi to a specific location to connect with the Trolley Tour? Your assistance is appreciated.

What city are you going to?

You are talking about Philadelphia, yes?
Here is a map of the Tolley route: www.phillytour.com/2005_PTW_Brochure_Final.pdf You can easily get to the Trolley in two ways. From the 30th Street station you can use SEPTA and hop on over to the MARKET EAST STATION and catch the trolley there. Or maybe you will want to take a taxi to the BOURSE BUILDING where the trolley tour official starts. I recently took the trolley tour and found it to be lovely. trolleys come by every 20 minutes or so. have fun! |
The OP is inquiring about Philadelphia - I see on other posts where s/he asks about the trolley after taking Amtrak from DC to PHL.
charblack, I would guess that no one who's read this knows anything about it. However, if you are inquiring about 76 Carriage Company - Philadelphia Trolley Works - 1119 N Bodine Street, their website (contact info page) is: http://www.phillytour.com/contact.asp You may wish to email or phone them for answers to your questions. I hope you'll report your findings. I was underwhelmed by the websites. Also, you might have had more feedback here with a title like "Philadelphia Directions Amtrak to Independence Visitor Ctr" Neither the trolley company, nor the Independence Visitors Center (where their tours apparently start from) give very much instructions for thos taking public transportation. http://www.independencevisitorcenter.com/dir.htm |
Thank you for your assistance and guidance.
