Trip to New Orleans

I am trying to plan a trip to new orleans for 3 couples, for new year's vacation and i can't find an affordable place... it can be a cabin or an apartment inside or near new orleans, we want to be able to share the same place.
any idea??

That is going to be very difficult since it is New Years. What are your exact dates? If it is for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, rates will be at their highest. You won't find any cabins in or near New Orleans and the apartments in and around the French Quarter (or any "safe" area) will be expensive. New Orleans doesn't have many apartment options. Did you try VRBO? I took a quick look and the options are expensive. You will probably have to book hotel rooms. If you are looking to be near New Orleans but not in New Orleans (for cheaper rates), you will need to check into Metairie (15 minutes from New Orleans) or Covington (about 45 minutes north of New Orleans)

"Affordable" could mean anything. What is your actual budget?

But it is VERY late to be looking for a vacation rental over New Years.
