Maybe the jet-lag bug has bitten her. I am not coherent for a week after I get home. I am from Boston though.

hi kids, sorry i'm draggin with the report. I'ts been hectic pace as of late!
..Here's a little peck into the foray where supah Maui find a way to keep us guessing and wanting more.
Let's start at the begining..First of all, we really enjoyed the Napili area. It was wonderful...
even
with night one having our 3y/o fall off the bed and get the coconut on the coconut..
and a peacful night 2 sleep (with futon covering the hardwood floor preventing nocturnal noggin whonking) we were awoken at quarter of six or so in the morning by an EARTHQUAKE!
Oh, yes..we knew just what that was..what a trip. A big shaker...noisy, too. I was feeling like a real calm Californian about the tremblor..once we were outside of the structure and not under any coconut trees(see note above)..however I couldn't take my eyes off the dern ocean for quite awhile out of extreme concern about the water...and looking at it like a hawk for any sign of recession...

Luck had it that the epicenter was close enough to the landmass that the wave action was nominal, at least where we were.

We were glad that we did the drive around the west mountains the day before as the road quality there was probably impacted. Too bad I forgot my camera that day! Once again the extreme mana of this area knocked my socks off. Heady stuff. seriously. It was more extreme a drive than I remember from 6 years ago..when we last drove this road. Aquired some deelish candied coconut, papayas and lilikoi at a local fruit stand along this road.
more later..saturday..I must go relish it.
