Thanks for the compliment on my pictures! The camera I used was a Pentax Optio S4. It's a compact digital...small enough to fit in an Altoids mint tin...no kidding! I've had the camera a few years now and one of the things I like the most about it (besides the good pictures it takes) is it's perfect size! I can stash it in a pocket and I don't feel ackward taking it out in restaurants to take pictures of food!

And yes, we did have absolutely PERFECT weather that weekend!

Thanks for taking the time to read my trip report as I travel more I'm realizing I am a "budding foodie"!

5alive...thanks for the compliment on the photos. Imagine how surprised I was while walking down the street to see Elmo! I had to take a picture for my nieces!

LCI.....(I know you well-enuf to call you by your nickname, right?) I loved your NYC pix....yea, I know it's almost July.....but I'm finally getting around to enjoying my Fodor's website addiction once again! You look like you had a great time with your Mom....and she looks so happy in every picture.....how very cool. I think my Mom would like to return to NYC (she was born in Brklyn, and lived there until she went to the midwest for college), altho she claims to hate big cities. I'd love to take her back to NYC, altho I fear she'd be complaining the whole time we were there 'cus she's always stressing about something....I'd definitely need a buffer with us...perhaps you could come with us???? Thanks again for the great report as well as the pictures.....it's so great you could go with your Mom. (btw, starrs directed me to your TR 'cus I was loving her food pix).

Thanks for reading my TR and looking at my pictures!

We did have a great time and as soon as we got home we were "jonsing" to go back...we are trying to figure out when/how, since we are going to France for 3 weeks in September and Rome for a week at Christmas/New Years!!! Yup I'm going to have to plant that money tree in my backyard afterall!
