trip report EPCOT Int'l Wine /Food Fest

Just returned from our 4th visit. It gets better every year! Grand tasting dinner this year was replaced with the "Party for the Senses" and moved to a larger venue which was MUCH roomier and had more places for eating and sitting.La Crema Winery had a very enjoyable and educational Tasting. There were more booths with food this year, including a special tribute to Andalucia,Spain and a "Taste of California."
Second day was a trip to Celebration. We ate lunch at Columbia which was delicious. Our waiter, Ahmad, was delightful. Enjoyed the outdoor seating on a lovely day. Had wine at the hotel; again very charming. Dinner that night was at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney. The surprise of the trip- the food here was FANTASTIC! We also enjoyed eating by the water in a garden- trees sprinkled with tiny lights. Service excellent. We'll return there for their spicy Cajun cuisine. Third day enjoyed the new Mall of Millenia where we purchased Tommy Bahama outfits for cruise. This place is very upscale and impressive! Orlando really has it all!

James, Here is another site for you to check out, http://wdwig.com/foodwine.htm

Linda, glad you had such a wonderful time!

Thanks, Emily!
James, each country offers a couple samplings for 1-3 dollars as well as wine, beer and liquor. Yes! At Disney! So refreshing to see people passed out at EPCOT! As far as being authentic, they are very close! I think some of the dishes aren't as spicy as they could be, but that's probably for the sake of the masses. It's good to split tastings with a friend...you can always go back for more!

I LOVE that festival! Stumbled onto it a couple of years ago and had the time of my life. Only problem is everything is so cheap, we were too full and too drunk to enjoy the fireworks!
