Trip for 2 to Colorado need ideas.

My wife and I are looking for a private mountain view setting in Colorado for our 10 year anniversary. We are both everyday cannabis smokers so a place that's weed friendly would be ideal. We have never been to Colorado before so any really need some guidence on were to go. Thanks

I'm not personally aware of any pot friendly hotels - in fact, most make it pretty clear they don't allow it - but I did find this online:

Do you have a city in mind?

Even if it's not pot friendly that's OK. I don't have a city in mind I'm open to suggestions. I've looked some stuff up but it seems to touristy I'm hoping by getting on these forums I can find something like a private cabin with a great view and that's more peaceful than a bizzy town in a hotel.

Well, you're spoiled for choice then. Touristy is relative, it's all about time of year. A place that's touristy in the summer could well be a ghost town in the winter, and vice versa.

I like Estes Park in the winter, but avoid it like the plague in the summer.

I also like Ouray in the winter, the summer, not-so-much.

What time of year are we talking about? Knowing that would be a big help.

Some beautiful places to consider - Lake City, Gunnison, Crested Butte (off season), Steamboat Springs, Buena Vista, Leadville.

Very easy to find off the beaten path places to stay - even if near a 'touristy' area - just look for accommodation on the fringes.

Colorado is also awash in small, obscure towns that few people who don't live here have heard of.

Problem is, most places are non-smoking. No tobacco or mj.
