treasure island-vegas

I am going to vegas in Oct. Have been there before and we stayed at the Monte Carlo. I will never again!!!! The towels smelled bad, we were promised a king bed we got 2 double, the remote didnt work had to wait 2 hours for a new one, very noisy room and many other things. We paid 180$ a night I would think that it would have been better service. Well just a warning to all. We were thinking of staying at the Treasure Isalnd this time anyone have thoughts or experiences there???

We went to Treasure Island last December and were pleased. We got a $49 or $39 deal with two free breakfast buffetts worth $14. The only complaint was the Pirate Show was being worked on and the lagoon was completely drained. I'd go again.
So many people have raved about Treasure Island and we stayed there in July as a result. We actually divided up our time between Paris and TI. Rates were phenomenal at both, but I can see how you were disappointed especially at 180.00! TI is really a fine place but I expected better, really. Up side, is that the room is quite nice(but not superb), the pool area is small but okay(my kids thought the water had a peculiar smell..not a good one...left a bad taste on your lips), area with a Starbucks, Ben and Jerrys, candy store, etc. was handy as was the tram to Mirage. Down side, was that comparatively speaking, I guess because it is older, it is up against a lot of tough competiton theme wise. kthe casino I find ugly with very low ceilings and the elevator area on the main floor is always congested(when I was there). The buffet is just okay, nothing better than that. So, yes, we were fine with it at 50.00 a night. You know, the rooms at Paris were much nicer...have you checked it out?

I would suggest that you stay at one of the newer properties also. The Paris hotel is very nice. Since Aladin is open now you may be able to get a good deal there. Log onto www.lvol.com and read the reviews for the different hotels on the strip. Have a great time.

I've never stayed at Treasure Island but we did walk through and checked things out. I wasn't too impressed. I agree with the others. In my opinion, you would do better at another hotel. We stayed at Mandalay Bay and had a great experience. The bathrooms were awesome. Great big jacuzzi tubs...
the room and bathroom were very clean.
